Can I transfer money with a GECU checking account?

You can make transfers between your own GECU accounts using the GECU Mobile App or GECU Online Banking. You can make external transfers using Zelle ® on the GECU Mobile App.

How do I switch my direct deposit?

Provide your employer with your routing number and account number to switch your direct deposit to GECU. Log in to GECU Online Banking, click on “Financial Tools,” then select “Direct Deposit Letter.” Then, provide your direct deposit letter to your employer.

To open a GECU business checking account, you need a valid state- or government-issued ID, Social Security number, an employer identification number (EIN) and business entity documents.

Will I get charged a fee for opening a GECU business checking account?

There is no fee to open a GECU business checking account. An activity charge may be assessed during each statement cycle depending on the type of account chosen. For a full list of activity charges, review your account opening agreement or the Terms and Conditions document.

Am I able to send wire transfers?

Wire transfers can be sent directly from your GECU Online Banking business profile. Enrollment in Cash Management service is required.

How much does it cost to send a wire transfer?

Domestic outgoing wire transfers are $15 each. International outgoing wire transfers are $25 each plus any applicable fees charged by any third-party financial institution. To see the most-recent fees, review the Business Terms and Conditions by logging in to your online banking account.

How do I log in to cash management?

You can log in to business cash management by logging in to your GECU Online Banking business profile. You must request access and sign the agreements to get access to cash management.

Do I have to be a member to open a GECU business checking account?

You can become a member at the same time that you open your GECU business account. To get started, schedule an appointment with a GECU Business Services representative by calling 915.774.4750.

How do I get an EIN number?

Apply for an EIN number online by visiting irs.gov. You will be required to fill out the Form SS-4 PDF and you can download the Instruction PDF on the IRS website.
